There is no way we can thank you enough for your many hours of service to our sport and history. So many of you have been positive and upbeat even in the face of challenges. February was a great success even if it did rain a little on Saturday and Sunday was a bright day.
This Organizer and Secretary are trying to keep up with the onslaught of activities we are trying to provide for our visitors - The Eventers.
March 15 a Wednesday is drawing near and again we need your help. We are hosting a Recognized Horse Trials for the People and Horses that are committed to leaving for the north on that Thursday following our event. At their suggestion and request we are filling a need for their greener horses prior to the Southern Pines Advanced Horse Trials on the weekend. Currently we have approximately 140 Horses entered.
March 19 a Sunday, we are fulfilling the need for a Horse Trials for the local and spring break folks. This one has about 100 entries and more expected.
Your help for about four and 1/2 (41/2) hours AM (8:00 - 12:30) or PM (12:15 - 4:45) would be wonderful. We have positions in Warm Up Dressage, XC & Stadium, In Gate Dressage, XC & Stadium Scoring, Scribing for Dressage and or Stadium, a few Fence Judging spots, Safety Officer for XC, Parking & Awards.
I hate asking you all to repeat so hope some new folks will spell the hard workers who want some time off.
Volunteers are invited to a Reception Prior to the Event. A lunch is provided for all volunteers regardless of the shift and something else - info will follow sign up.
